My sister loves fashion. And while her corporate job couldn’t be any further from the fashion world, she's the kind of person who always wants to stay ahead of the trends and be the first to know what styles and It items to invest in from season to season—to which I happily oblige!

When I had rattled off some of the big, fun trends spring 2023 had in store (read: sequins, sheer, grunge styles, and more), her response was, “Okay, great, but what about the styles I can wear day to day?” So, I decided to dedicate a whole story to my answer. Because for most of us, we want to buy pieces that feel on-trend yet super wearable—whether you’re going out for dinner, to work, or meet up with friends on the weekend. While denim never really goes out of style, there's no doubt it's having a huge moment in 2023 with fresh and modern iterations to get excited about. Head-toe-denim looks were all over the spring 2023 runways (from denim blouses paired with baggy jeans to maxi skirts paired with relaxed jackets along with plenty of denim dresses), giving a new spin on the Canadian tuxedo.

Whether you go for a full denim look or just integrate trend-forward denim pieces such as loose and long jeans and denim tops and maxi skirts into your wardrobe, you're guaranteed to look on-trend. And above all, it's so wearable!

Spotted on both the spring (and recent fall) runways as well as all over the street style set, bold and saturated striking red is the color to be seen in 2023. Whether you go for an accessory or a cool top, red pairs really well with so many versatile colors including beige, blue denim, and black—so it's certainly an easy color to integrate into your look.

For a timeless trend that you can wear year-round, lean into this season's pared-back elegance or what we're calling the quiet-luxury trend that dominated the 2023 runways at The Row, Peter Do, and Khaite, to name a few. Think clean lines and crisp tailoring, minimalist '90s dresses, floor-length coats, quality basics, and accessories void of flashy logos or prints.

Metallics are a big trend for 2023—and we've seen silver in particular reign supreme among the fashion set. While statement silver pants and skirts might be a little harder to pull off day to day, a chic pair of shoes or a handbag (seen all over the fashion crowd right now) is a much more wearable trend and easy to integrate with a simple outfit.
